New Alternatives for Children 10/21/2026

At our “Spooky Nights” event with the ghouls and booys of New Alternatives for Children, we took black paper and made critters pop from the page with acrylic markers. We learned about negative space with eyes emerging from the shadows, complimentary colors on a Van Gogh-style skull, and action lines and storylines as a skeleton spiked a pumpkin and sent his spirit soaring into the air. So much talent bursting from this creative crew!!
Thanks to our own stop motion legend, Lisa LaBracio, who coordinates all our work at this beautiful #fostercare and medical support center; to our volunteers Stefano Imbert, Eleanor Rahim, and Elizabeth Winter for bringing their wide scope of skills; and a huge howl out to Tejan, Leo, Shelsey and NAC team who helped this evening all come together so frighteningly well.
