St. Mary’s Hospital 08/08/2026

Ink Wellers Ray Alma and Marty Macaluso joined Event Director, Tim Savage, for a joyful day of drawing with our dear friends at St. Mary’s Hospital!

One lovely little lady drew a princess with a magic wand that turned froggies into professional athletes. Tim showed one young lad how to draw Garfield, and he picked right up on capturing that classic wry grin. And Marty drew portraits of the kids, who then turned around and drew his portrait in return!

It was a great day of animals, fairy tale characters, and lots of creative fun. Thanks so much to Vito and the St. Mary’s crew for bringing it all together, and to our friends at Blick Art Materials for helping us share lots of excellent art supplies with the kids!

Ink Well Kids 20th Anniversary Party! 07/25/2026

So proud to celebrate 20 YEARS of Ink Well Kids!!!! Many wonderful volunteers who’ve been with us from day one came out to join our fantastic new crew and partner coordinators like Laurina and Tifara from Bellevue Hospital. Event Directors, Tim Savage, Lisa LaBracio, and Micheline Hess said a few words as well as our Founder and Executive Director, Elizabeth Winter. It was an incredible chance to look back on all the special times we’ve shared and meaningful work for the children we serve.

Most meaningful of all is just knowing that together we have brought smiles, laughter, and new arts skills to beautiful kids who deserve all the attention and encouragement in the world.

Thanks again to every volunteer, donor, and all our hospital and foster care center partners, for making this such a special journey these past two decades.

Also want to send a shout out to the great Gem Saloon for letting us roost in your awesome upper level. Molly and Sarah, you guys are the best 🙂
